Meh Positive: The apartment itself has a lot of character and ambiance. It is spacious, open, and very breathable, with high ceilings and a ton of natural light. There are also some fun touches throughout the home. Two vintage-style games, which added personality to the space, pool. The couches are huge and comfortable, there is plenty of storage, and all of the furniture and amenities were generally good. The AC was also very effective. The apartment is on the fourth floor and there is no elevator, so be prepared to get some steps in. The location also has the convenience of a gas station right there, which was useful. Most of the positive aspects I mentioned can be seen clearly in the listing photos. The building is very large and clearly old, so I understand that it may be difficult to keep every part of it perfectly clean. There was a lot of dust, and there were quite a few spiders and webs around the entrance and building. I would consider this more of something to be aware of rather than necessarily a complaint, given the size and age of the building. Negative: There were a LOT of rules associated with the stay (None of these rules are necessarily unreasonable on their own.): no children, no guests beyond the number declared on the booking, no loud noise, specific instructions about where towels had to be placed, not unplugging certain appliances ($50 fee if you did), not locking the bottom lock on the door ($50 fee if you did), and 200$ for losing keys. There was also either a $200 security deposit or a $50 non-refundable fee. Check-in was required to be exactly at the stated time even if the apartment was already ready. However, when a property has this many strict requirements and financial penalties attached to them, I think the expectation for cleanliness should be especially high. Unfortunately, that was not the case during this stay. There were stains on the shower curtain, couch, walls, and doors. The apartment itself had noticeable dust and webs. I have allergies, and I had a difficult time breathing throughout my stay because the amount of dust was so noticeable. Whenever I sat on the couch or got into bed, I felt like I was immediately exposed to dust. The worst part was discovering hair in the bathroom that appeared to be from the previous guest. The bedsheets also had a very unpleasant smell. I am not exaggerating when I say they smelled strongly of sweat and unwashed hair. Under the bed, there were layers of dust that clearly had not been cleaned. Also, Big Pink nightclub is next to the building, so Friday and Saturday nights can be quite busy and noisy around the entrance. *UPDATE: I did bring this up after checking out. We were out the whole day, and we didn't want anyone coming in while we were away. The house should have been clean in the first place. I won't be blamed for not bringing it up "promptly" when I shouldn't have to bring it up at all. Not like I asked for a refund AT ANY POINT or anything. I'm just saying place is dirty. It is.

Condo arcade apartment Positive: The condo is a true gem...it was very warm as it was very cold in Detroit at the time...I loved how cute it was with the video games and nightclub just steps from the parking lot...it was close to downtown and many locations to eat different foods Negative: The steps with no elevator...and could've been a little cleaner in the bathroom but we cleaned it ourselves...there was toothpaste spit dried on the sink faucet and hair around the tub drain...bring your own towel and rags.

Positive: Like how open the room was old school games plus the pool table was life.. Negative: Pillows on couch needs to be updated the couches could use some couch coverings and the bedroom needs a new cooler comforter set. That cotton on that bed is a little thick thick..
