Stylish Loft with Central Location and Downtown Views

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS LOCATION! ENHANCED IMAGES ON SITE. 40 PICS ONLY 3 OF PROPERTY. UNSAFE LOCATION. Positive: Absolutely nothing! Never had the chance to access the unit. The key and code did not work for either units the host stated was reserved for us. The police alarm went off when using the code in the email and provided over the phone per the host "Sean". There were numerous lock boxes on a worn down fence outside of what appeared to be an abandon building with broken windows and rats next to a parking lot which looked like a lemon lot for used cars. I just wish they would vet their vendors and do more research on the Airbnb style properties. The enhanced images and images of the city (not property location and neighborhood) are very misleading. The parking, the building and surrounding area of this property were all sketchy to include the host. The details and pictures were misleading and the process to access the property appears to be a set-up to inconvenience the customer. They also lied and charged a lost key fee although he helped us with the steps on placing the key back in the lock box. Due to 16 other keys in the same box, he wanted to be sure we returned the key and locked the box to secure the other keys for future customers. I do not wish anyone to have experienced what we experienced and shame on the people posting reviews as if they lodged there. Negative: It comes with great disappointment to have to write a negative review. I have tremendous patience, but the host Sean made it extremely difficult due to his unprofessional attitude and rude behavior; although we drove a great distance to enjoy Mother’s Day weekend only to discover the inability to access the unit that appeared to be located in an abandon building in the heart of a very unsafe neighborhood filled with rodents, trash and homeless people. We thought we would be able to make a quick call to the host to get assistance on accessing the unit reserved on booking.com only to discover almost an hour on the phone with the host would turn into a journey of lies, negligence, and deceit between the host and booking.com customer service. The host could not figure out what code and what unit was assigned to us for the weekend. They failed to advertise the unit being located on the 3rd or 4th floor. The host, after some time searching through emails, was able to locate the code to give for us to obtain a key to a unit that had an assigned code to enter the property. The lock box was located on a fence with over 20 lock boxes we had to search through to obtain the key. He also had to search through several emails to obtain the code to enter the building to access the unit. After about an hour on the phone and climbing up and down the stairs, the host became very frustrated and confused and agreed to give us a full refund since he could not assist us over the phone. He agreed to send a confirmation email on the cancellation and informed us we would need to contact booking.com to receive our full refund. He stated as the host he was not authorized to refund us since we reserved through booking.com. He even asked if he could just refund us our money for the property since we were all frustrated and exhausted from the ordeal. I have never had issues with booking.com and have always been pleased with booking hotels on their site.

We felt like we were still part of the city at the loft, not in a disconnected hotel room. LOVED IT Positive: The location and cost of this loft were outstanding. Fenced parking made us feel secure leaving a rental car in the lot. The responsiveness of the hosts was outstanding! Bike rental showed up as promised. Negative: I received a couple different youtube videos to access the lock box, but I was able to figure it out. The building is old but full of character. Be ready to walk up stairs, but this was not a problem for us.

Definitely recommend Positive: Everything was great. Negative: Everything was clean and stocked. The staff was amazing.

Positive: The host was very helpful. The price was very fair. The kitchen is super useful to have when staying for a week. The location is close enough to downtown. As it's on a main avenue, the bus leaves you a block away. Uber to downtown is 12-16 usd. Negative: Id suggest purchasing premium towels. The wifi password was a wrong one, but I trust they fixed that for the next ones. The walls are thin, so any extra noise coming from outside or elsewhere, is loud. Grab some earplugs.

Negative: It took the water a long time to heat up.
